An introductory lesson (also known as a trial lesson) can be purchased for yourself or as a gift for a friend or relative and makes an excellent present for any occasion.
During your introductory lesson, your instructor will give you a pre-flight briefing which will cover the route to be flown and the safety features of the aircraft. In the aircraft an explanation of the cockpit instruments and a short brief on the effects of the primary flying controls will be given. This is to give you an understanding and an introduction to your first handling of the controls of an aeroplane. The route of the flight can be varied to incorporate your individual preferences, depending on the length of lesson purchased (either 30 minutes or 60 minutes). Favourite routes of our customers include over flying Chatsworth House, Ladybower Reservoir (Dam Busters territory!) and the Humber Bridge, all of which offering spectacular views and an unforgettable experience.
Our trial lessons are conducted by fully qualified flying instructors and is a full 'hands on' experience flying a real light aircraft. This gives you an insight into what it actually feels like to be at the controls. If you wish to continue learning to fly after your trial flying lesson then that time can be 'logged' towards gaining your pilot's licence. With every trial lesson purchased you will receive a gift voucher, this will be e-mailed to the e-mail address provided at the time of purchase. On request, vouchers can also be via sent first class post or collected from our office.
